Build something a business owner can use.

Spend a semester working with a San Diego business. Map a process, build a system, and hand it over. Show hiring managers what you built.

Why join.

You don’t need an engineering background to join. You’ll learn to work with a business owner, build a system, and hand it over for them to use. You’ll finish with a portfolio project and a LinkedIn recommendation from the business you worked with.

The Fall 2026 pilot has ten teams of two or three students. Each team works in person with a local business.

How the semester works.

  1. Map the process

The team meets with the owner to understand the business process.

  2. Build one solution

The team builds one system around the business’s specific needs.

  3. Deploy

A mentor reviews the system. The owner decides whether to use it.
